Hosted Payment Pages Session Timeouts
Hosted Payment Pages grant users up to 15 minutes to complete their payment. This is set by Converge and not by CivicPlus.
When a user reaches the timeout, they will be greeted with a countdown.
When the time window has been exceeded, the user will be notified and sent back to CivicPlus.
The user will see a “Transaction Canceled” message or a “Payment Declined” message depending on which CivicPlus product you are using. In both cases, the user can try again.
Recreation Message
Web Central Message
Note: Converge does not tell CivicPlus Payments that the session has expired, only that it was not completed. Thus, expired sessions will show as canceled transactions in the CivicPlus Payments activity log.
PIN Pad (Card-Present Transactions) Session Timeouts
Converge card-present transactions using an EMV or PIN-pad device do not timeout. However, Recreation Management and Web Central both have timeouts that you will need to familiarize yourself with. Once a transaction has started, the PIN pad will wait indefinitely until it is acted upon.
To get the PIN pad back in sync, use the cancel button.
