Set Up Payments with External Processors

While we offer and recommend our in-house integrated payment solution with CivicPlus Payments, we recognize you may have certain requirements not met by our solution or are already working with an external processor. This article explains how to set up your account with a supported processor and connect it to our system.

External Processing Partners

We currently support the following external processing partners:

These partners have committed to providing you with a great experience for onboarding and support for your payment processing needs. Each provider will require you to work with them directly on the merchant account approval and setup processes.

We also support a limited number of other external processors; however, additional fees may apply. Please reach out to our team for more information.

How Setup Works

  1. Create an Account with Your Processor

    1. Reach out to your preferred processor directly or ask us for a referral contact.

    2. Complete their onboarding and compliance steps.

    3. Order devices (terminals or card readers) if you’re taking in-person payments.

  2. Collect Required Credentials

    1. Once your account is approved, your provider will supply API credentials, terminal IDs, or gateway configuration info.

    2. You’ll need to provide these to our team to integrate your processor into our platform.

  3. Configure in our System

    1. Our onboarding or support team will enter your processor details and enable the payment connection.

    2. You may also need to test a few transactions to confirm connectivity.

  4. Start Accepting Payments

    1. Once setup is complete, your residents can begin paying with your chosen processor.

    2. You’ll continue to manage fees, payouts, and reporting on the external processor’s dashboard.

    3. We’ll also have limited reporting available with the CivicPlus software.
