Create a Scheduled Task

This article goes over how to create a scheduled task that reoccurs daily, weekly, or on a custom schedule.

If you would like to enable this feature on your account, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Expand the Scheduled Tasks menu and select TasksScheduled Tasks menu with Tasks selected in the sub-menu.

  3. Click the green plus sign in the bottom right corner Create New Task button on the scheduled tasks page.

  4. Add a Task Name and DescriptionSettings section for task creation, highlighting task name and description fields.

  5. Configure the Schedule for the task Schedule settings for task recurrence with options for daily, weekly, or custom intervals.

    • Start Date: Set the date the task should start

    • End Date: If applicable, select an end date for the task. This date will end the recurrence interval.

    • Recurrence Interval:

      • Daily: Set the task to reoccur every day

      • Weekly: Select a specific day of the week that the task will reoccur

      • Custom: Set a custom number of days for the task recurrence

  6. Click Create Action to add a new action to the task, or select an Available ActionSettings for pool maintenance task with available actions dropdown menu highlighted.

  7. If creating a new action, fill out the Action fields Create task action settings with options for completing or submitting a form.

    • Action Type:

      • Complete: Once the action is checked, the user will be able to remove the task from their list

      • Form: The user will have to submit a specific form in order to complete the task and remove it from their list

    • Label: Add a name for the action

  8. Click SaveThe Save button on the action screen.

  9. If needed, add another Action to the task Create additional actions on a task.

  10. (Optional) Configure Swipe Actions for mobile users by choosing which action will occur when a user swipes left or right on the task Configuration options for task recurrence and swipe actions in a task management interface.

  11. (Optional) Configure a Linked Resource to associate with the task Configuration options for linking resources with labels and URLs in a task management interface.

    Note:

    Example use cases for linked resources include process documentation on how to complete a task.

  12. Scroll up and click the Save button The Save button on the new task screen.

  13. You can now add Scheduled Tasks to an app Scheduled tasks for August 1st, highlighting pool maintenance as completed.
