This article will show you how to view a website's SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate. This allows you to view information such as who issued the website's SSL, when the certificate was issued, and when it expires.

Important Note:
The instructions in this article apply to the Google Chrome browser. If you use a different browser, your experience may vary.
Instructions
In the Google Chrome browser, navigate to the desired website
Example: https://www.google.com/
Click the View site information button (padlock icon) to the left of the website URL
Click the Connection is secure option to open the Security menu
Click the Certificate is valid option to view the SSL Certificate in a pop-up window
View the SSL Certificate information
Issued To: The website the SSL Certificate was issued
Issued By: Who issued the SSL Certificate
Validity Period: When the Certificate was issued and when it expires
