This article will show you how to approve an item, as well as how to deny or send the item back to a previous approver.
Important Note
You must Start Approvals before approvers can approve or deny the item.
Instructions
Sign in to your solution if you have not already
Navigate to the Meetings module:

Select the agenda that the desired item is currently on:

Select the desired item:

Navigate to the View menu and select the Item Approvals option from the dropdown list:

Note:
The default view is Item Fields.
If approval is not yet initiated, click either of the Start Approvals buttons:

Note:
If approvals have already started, click the Initiated button:

Click the OK button on the Successful! pop-up that appears:

Click the Take Action button to complete an approval:

Fill in the Approve Agenda Item fields:

What do you want to do?: Choose to Approve, Deny, or Return to Creator
Note:
A Return to Approver option will be available if there are previous approvers.
Notify Creator That Agenda Item Content Has Changed: Check this checkbox if you wish to send a notification to the item creator
Message: Enter an approval message, if desired
Click the Save Approval button to submit the item approval:

Your approval will now appear in the Visual Item Timeline:
