Bulk Delete Events

This article will show you how to delete multiple events at one time.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your solution if you have not already

  2. Navigate to the Events module:

  3. Click the List View tab:

    The white, rectangular Filters button, which appears to the right of the Show menu.

  4. Navigate to the Show menu and select the timeframe of events you wish to view:

    • All Upcoming Events: View all future events

    • Events For Next 30 Days: View all events taking place within the next 30 days

    • Events For Last 30 Days: View all events that have taken place within the last 30 days

    • All Events: View all past and future events

    • Events for Custom Date Range: View all events within a specific timeframe (enter your preferred dates into the "from" and "to" fields that appear)

  5. Click the Filters button to further narrow down the events displayed:

  6. Click the Filter dropdown options and set the desired parameters to filter the events in your module:

    • Template: Filter by event template (for example, a one-time or recurring event)

    • Category: Filter by event category (for example, city council or leadership committee)

    • Published: Filter to see published, unpublished, or all events

    • Created by: Filter by who created the event

  7. Click the Load All button to apply the selected filters and load the results:

  8. Click the checkbox to the left of the Name column to select all displayed events automatically:

  9. Or click the checkboxes to the left of the individual events you wish to delete:

  10. Click the Delete Selected Events button:

  11. If the selected events are associated with agendas, select a deletion option on the Delete Selected window that appears:

    • Delete the Associated Agenda Including Items and Files Associated with This Event: Click this option to delete the selected events and all agendas, items, and files associated with the events

    • Delete Only the Event and Unlink the Agenda (the Date on the Agenda Will Default to 1/1/1900): Click this option to delete the selected events and preserve the agendas associated with the events with a date of January 1, 1900

    • Delete Only the Event and Link the Associated Agenda to Another Existing Event: Click this option to delete the selected events and reassign the agendas associated with those events to other events

      Note:

      When the “Delete Only the Event and Link the Associated Agenda to Another Existing Event” option is selected, a Select Event field will appear next to each event in the Events to delete list.

  12. Click the "X" icon to the right of a specific event to remove it from the Events to Delete list, if desired:

  13. Click the Delete Events button to confirm the deletion of all selected events:

  14. The selected events have been deleted

    Note:

    You can restore deleted events within 30 days using the Trash Can feature.
