Create a One-Time Event

Prev Next

One-Time Events are best used for special events or events that do not fall into a normal schedule. They can be used for single events from all boards. This article will show you how to create a one-time event.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your solution if you have not already

  2. Navigate to the Events module:

The Events module button in the dashboard's left-hand navigation menu.

  3. Select New Event:

The green, rectangular New Event button below the User Menu.

    Note:

You can also open the Create Event modal by selecting Create Event from the Quick Add Menu.

The plus sign Quick Add menu button with the Create Event option highlighted.

  4. Fill in the information fields:

Information fields on the Create Event modal.

    • Event Template: Select One-Time Event

    • Event Name (required): Enter a name for your event, if desired

    • Notice: Add any additional information about the event

    • Event Date (required): Select the date of your event

    • Event Time (required): Select the time of your event

    • Address: Add a street address for the event

    • City: Add the city in which the event will take place

    • State: Add the state in which the event will take place (two-letter state or territory abbreviation only)

    • Zip Code: Add the zip code in which the event will take place

    Important Note:

If your municipality or organization uses the Web Central Calendar and Select Sync Integration, be sure to enter state and territory values using two-letter abbreviations in the “State” field. While Agenda and Meeting Management Select allows fully spelled-out state names, Municipal Websites Central does not. If a full state name is used, the event will be rejected and will not sync.

  5. Click Create Event:

The green, rectangular Create Event button at the bottom of the Create Event modal.

    Note:

You can also click the Create and Add New button to save this event and automatically start work on another new event.

  6. The event has been created and added to the Events Module
