Setting to Control Publishing of Unlocked Agenda Items

A new optional Manage Publication of Agenda Items on the Public Portal setting allows users to control whether unlocked agenda items appear on the Public Portal. This gives administrators more flexibility over what content is publicly visible.

The Publish Unlocked Agenda Items toggle on the General Settings page.

Key Details

  • New Setting Added:

    • Location: Within the Admin Portal, navigate to Site Settings, then click the Meetings tile, followed by the General tile. The "Publish Unlocked Agenda Items" toggle is located in the Agenda Defaults section

    • Label: Publish Unlocked Agenda Items (Yes/No)

    • Default: Yes

  • If set to 'No':

    • Unlocked agenda items are hidden from the Public Portal

    • Placeholder text "Agenda Item Pending" (with Item Number) is shown instead

    • No attachments for those items are displayed:Agenda Item Pending entries on an example Public Portal Meeting Overview page.

  • If set to 'Yes': Unlocked items are included as part of the published agenda:A standard agenda item and attachment on an example Public Portal Meeting Overview page.

  • Agenda Packet Exception: Once the agenda packet is published, all agenda items (locked or unlocked) are displayed

  • Internal Access Unchanged: Unlocked items remain visible to authorized users in the Admin Portal

Closed Caption Merge Tags Added to New Merge Tag Feature

Support for Closed Captioning merge tags has been added to the new Merge Tag feature. This allows users to dynamically insert key caption-related details into templates.

    • [CLOSED_CAPTION_REQUESTED_BY_NAME]

    • [CLOSED_CAPTION_SERVICE_TYPE]

    • [CLOSED_CAPTION_STATUS]

    • [CLOSED_CAPTION_UPLOADED_DATE]

  • Enables improved automation and consistency in caption-related notifications and documents


WCAG 2.2 Admin Portal Improvements

Improved Accessibility Landmarking and Table Structure

The Admin Portal now includes improved landmarking and clearer table structure across key views. This helps meet WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.3.1: Info and Relationships standards.

  • Landmark Roles Added: Applied to Dashboard, Agenda View, and Item Fields for better screen reader navigation

  • Table Structure Clarified: Header associations and empty cells corrected across Dashboard, Agenda, and Item views

  • Accessibility Compliance: Enhances compatibility with assistive technologies and supports WCAG 2.1 AA standards
