Lock and Unlock an Item

If you do not want standard users to make changes to an item, you can lock it. You can unlock an item to allow changes.

Important Note

When an Item goes through its entire approval process, it will automatically lock.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your solution if you have not already

  2. Navigate to the Meetings module:
    The Meetings module button in the left-hand navigation menu.

  3. Select the agenda the item is on:
    An example agenda tile in the Meetings module.

  4. Select the item you wish to lock or unlock:
    An example agenda item.

  5. Click the Edit Item Settings button:
    The purple, rectangular Edit Item Settings button below the User Menu.

  6. To lock an unlocked item, click the gray, white, and green Item Unlocked toggle:
    The Item Unlocked slider in the lower-left corner of the Edit Item Settings modal.

  7. To unlock a locked item, click the red and white Item Locked toggle:
    The Item Locked slider in the lower-left corner of the Edit Item Settings modal.

    Note:

    If the Agenda is locked, then the button will be unavailable (grayed out) with an Agenda Locked message. You must unlock an agenda before you can unlock an item.

  8. Click the Save Item Settings button:
    The green, rectangular Save Item Settings button in the lower-right corner of the Edit Item Settings modal.

  9. View the Item Status (Locked/Unlocked) in the right-hand sidebar:
    The Item Status preview section of the sidebar.

    Note:

    If the sidebar is not visible, click the double-arrow icon next to the green, rectangular Initiated/Start Approvals button.
