Released Enhancements
Automatic Agenda Locking Based on Meeting Start Time
Agenda and Meeting Management Select now supports automatic agenda locking. This will help organizations meet legal requirements that prohibit last-minute changes, such as Massachusetts’ 48-hour rule. This automation eliminates the need for manual intervention. It also ensures agendas are finalized and compliant before a meeting.

What’s New
A new “Enable automatic agenda locking” setting is available. It can be found at the Meeting Type Default Settings level, under a new “Default Actions” section.
Administrators can specify how many hours before the meeting start time the agenda should automatically lock (for example, 48 hours).
When the specified time is reached:
The agenda becomes fully locked. No edits, item changes, or approvals are allowed.
The existing “Agenda Locked” toggle is automatically enabled and grayed out, indicating system-level control.
If a meeting is rescheduled or canceled, the locking logic re-evaluates based on the updated start time.
Once auto-locked, if the agenda is manually unlocked, it will not auto-lock again. Management becomes manual from that point forward.
This automatic lock does not appear in the agenda timeline, but a manual unlock will be logged.
Only users with the Agenda Manager role can override (unlock) an automatically locked agenda.
Changes to this setting affect future meetings only and are not retroactively applied.
Why It Matters
This enhancement ensures consistent adherence to public notice laws and organizational policy by finalizing agendas ahead of time. It also reduces last-minute errors or changes, improving transparency and legal compliance.
