Post-Meeting Attachments Now Supported in Published Minutes
Clerks can now include post-meeting attachments, such as signed resolutions, contracts, or updated documents, directly in the published Minutes document. This streamlines official recordkeeping and improves transparency by allowing final documentation to reflect real-time meeting outcomes.
Key Attachment Enhancements
A new “Show Attachment in Minutes” toggle is available when adding attachments from:
The toggle appears when uploading using the Item Files Add Attachment function. The default setting is No.
Confidential attachments cannot be included in Minutes. Attempting to do so prompts a warning. This mirrors the behavior for Public Portal exclusions.
A new “Minutes” column on the Item Attachments and Agenda Attachments pages displays a:
Green checkmark for included attachments
Red X for excluded attachments
Tooltip: “Show attachment in Minutes”
Minutes Publishing Behavior
When the Clerk publishes the Minutes document, all attachments marked for inclusion are appended at the end of the final PDF.
Bookmarks from attachments are not preserved in the appended file.
Previously uploaded attachments remain excluded by default. These can be updated using the Edit option.

Clerks can accurately represent post-meeting outcomes without republishing agendas or manually merging documents. Attachments are seamlessly integrated into final Minutes, supporting compliance, transparency, and archival workflows.
“Forward 10 Seconds” Button Added to Media Player
Users can now skip forward 10 seconds using a new “Forward 10 Seconds” button. This helps improve the usability of recorded meeting playback. It is ideal for navigating lengthy recordings or jumping to specific discussions.

Functionality:
Skips ahead by exactly 10 seconds per click.
Available during recorded meeting playback on all supported browsers and devices
Compatible with keyboard navigation and screen readers
Display Behavior:
Hidden when using the Mini Player mode to preserve screen space
Visible in maximized or enlarged playback views
Expectations
This enhancement allows Clerks, staff, and board members to navigate recordings more efficiently. This helps speed up their workflows while maintaining full accessibility compliance.
Playback Speed Controls for Meeting Recordings in CivicPlus Media
Viewers in both the Admin interface and Public Portal can now adjust the playback speed of meeting recordings. This enhances accessibility and user control. It also empowers city staff, elected officials, and the public to consume meeting content at their own pace.
Key Playback Speed Enhancements
Variable playback speeds added to the JW Player in the Admin interface and Public Portal:
Available speeds: 0.5x, 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, and 2x
Speed adjustment is visible in the media player interface. Playback speed options don’t interfere with other controls
Supports:
Caption and transcript syncing (if enabled)
Agenda item linking and timestamp-based navigation
All modern desktop browsers and iOS devices
Accessibility: keyboard navigable, screen reader labeled, and WCAG 2.2 compliant
Expected Functionality
Users can watch meeting videos at slower or faster speeds within the system. This enables more efficient review of long discussions. It also makes comprehension of detailed topics easier. This enhancement supports transparency and improves accessibility for all stakeholders.
