Set Actual Start and Meeting End Times in Minutes Settings

Prev Next

The Actual Start Time and Meeting End Time fields in Minutes Settings allow you to record when a meeting officially begins and ends. This helps ensure your minutes reflect the true meeting timeline rather than the scheduled times. An Actual Start Time is also required to create timestamps using the “Set to Current Time” feature in the Events module.

This article explains how to update a meeting’s Actual Start Time and Meeting End Time within the Minutes Settings page.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your solution if you have not already

  2. Navigate to the Meetings module:

The Meetings Module option in the left-hand navigation menu.

  3. Select the desired agenda:

    An example agenda card.

  4. Click the Go to Minutes button:

A white, rectangular Go To Minutes button below the User Menu and the Edit Agenda Settings button.

  5. Ensure you are viewing the Minutes Settings page:

The Minutes Settings page should appear by default. If you are not viewing the Minutes Settings page, you will need to navigate to the View menu and select the Minutes Settings option from the dropdown list:

  6. In the Minutes section, enter or select the meeting’s Actual Start Time, if needed:

    1. Manually set the event’s start time by entering or selecting the appropriate time in the Actual Start Time field using the 00:00:00 AM/PM format, if desired:

Clicking the Actual Start Time field opens a time picker that you can use to select the hour, minutes, seconds, and AM or PM:

    Important Note:

An Actual Start Time must be set here, or in the Events module’s Live Meeting and Timestamp view, to use the Events module’s Set to Current Time feature. If this information is not provided in one of these places, timestamps cannot be generated using that option.

  7. Enter or select the Meeting End Time, if needed:
