This article will show you how to enable, disable, use, and manage the Spell Check feature.
The Froala Text Editor includes a built-in Spell Check feature to help you catch and correct spelling and grammatical errors in your agenda and meeting documents.
Enable or Disable Spell Check
Hover over the small Spell Check circle icon in the text area
Note:
This status indicator will appear:
Orange if the Spell Check feature is enabled,
Red if the Spell Check feature is enabled and there’s text that needs attention,
Grey if the feature is disabled.
Click Disable (power icon) to turn off Spell Check if the feature is turned on, or click Enable (power icon) to turn Spell Check on if the feature is turned off
The Spell Check icon will appear gray if the feature has been disabled or orange if the feature has been enabled
Use Spell Check
Hover over the Spell Check option (small circle icon) to see the number of Suggestions found:

A small menu will appear with multiple options. If there are spelling or grammatical errors present, the number of suggestions found will appear as a red circle icon with a number inside. This number indicates the number of issues that require attention.
Click Proofread in dialog (two diagonal arrows icon):
Select an option:
Suggested correction (orange oval with suggested replacement word or punctuation): Click this option to replace the selected word or punctuation with a suggested correction
Ignore all: Click this option to ignore the suggested correction
Add word (book with plus-sign icon): Click this option to ignore the suggested correction and add the selected word to your dictionary
Or, hover over a word with a Spell Check suggestion (underlined in red):
Select an option:
Suggested correction: Click this option to replace the selected word or punctuation with a suggested correction
Ignore all: Click this option to ignore the suggested correction
Add word (book with plus-sign icon): Click this option to ignore the suggested correction and add the selected word to your dictionary
Show (three vertical dots icon): Click this option to open a context menu with additional choices
The Show menu includes the following options:
Proofread in dialog: Click this option to proofread your text in a separate dialog box (see Step 4 above)
Settings: Click this option to manage your Spell Check settings
Toggle: Click this option to toggle Spell Check off
Manage Spell Check Settings
Hover over the small Spell Check circle icon in the text area:
Click Settings (gear icon):
Update your Spell-Check settings as desired:
Go to Dictionary: Select this option to open, create, or connect to a dictionary of words, or add new words to an existing dictionary
Language: Select the primary language you will be typing in from the drop-down list
Correct spelling automatically: Toggle this feature on to have spell check automatically correct or make suggestions for spelling mistakes as you type
Autocomplete suggestions: Toggle this feature on to have spell check automatically predict what you will type
Ignore all-caps words: Toggle this feature on to have spell check ignore words that appear with all capital letters (for example, RSVP and MEMO)
Ignore domain names: Toggle this feature on to have spell check ignore words that appear to be websites (for example, civicplus.com, wikipedia.org, or google.com)
Ignore words with mixed case: Toggle this feature on to have spell check ignore any words that include a mix of upper and lower case letters
Ignore words with numbers: Toggle this feature on to have spell check ignore any words that also include numbers
Click Close (X icon) to exit the Spell Check feature:
