Add and Manage FAQ Items

This article will show you how to add, modify, or remove FAQ.

Add an FAQ Item

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner | Publisher | Author

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Select Modules and on the Content tab, select FAQs:

  3. Select Choose an Action and click Add Item next to the category you want to add the FAQ to:The FAQs module with the Choose an Action menu expanded and the Add Item option highlighted for a category.

  4. Fill in the information fields:The FAQs module on the Add Item screen with fields for the question and answer, as well as buttons to cancel, save, or save and publish.

    • Question: Enter the question for the item

    • Answer: Enter the answer to the question

      Note:

      Remember to answer your question as completely as possible. Include a phone number, email address, or website address if possible.

    • Additional Details:The FAQs module on the Add Item screen with the Additional Details expanded and various fields and toggles displayed.

      • Web Address: Website you would like to include with your answer

      • Display Text: Word that will be clickable to go to the website you chose for the Web Address field

      • Open in New Window: Check this box to open the site in a new window

      • Starting On: Date you would like this FAQ to display on the public side

      • Stopping On: Date you would this FAQ to unpublish itself from the public side

      • Show Archives: Leave this set to the default setting

  5. Locate and click Save and Publish:The FAQs module on the Add Item screen with the Save and Publish button highlighted.


Edit an FAQ Item

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner | Publisher

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Select Modules and on the Content tab, select FAQs:

  3. Select the category that the item is in:The FAQs module with a category highlighted for selection.

  4. Find the item you would like to edit and select Choose an Action and then Modify:The FAQs module within a category with the Choose an Action menu expanded for an item, and the Modify menu option highlighted.

  5. Modify the information fields:An FAQ opened for modification with the Question and Answer fields displayed.

    • Question: Enter the question for that category

    • Answer: Enter the answer to the question. Remember to answer your question as completely as possible. Include a phone number, email address, or website address if possible.

    • Show Additional Details

      • Web Address: Website you would like to include with your answer

      • Display Text: Word that will be clickable to go to the website you chose for the Web Address field

      • Open in New Window: Check this box to open the site in a new window

      • Starting On: Date you would like this FAQ to display on the public side

      • Stopping On: Date you would this FAQ to unpublish itself from the public side

      • Show Archives: Leave this set to the default setting

  6. Select Save:The FAQ module on the Modify Item screen with the Save button highlighted.


Delete an FAQ Item

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Select Modules and on the Content tab, select FAQs:

  3. Select the category that contains the item you would like to delete:The FAQs module with a category highlighted for selection.

  4. Select Choose an Action and then Unpublish next to the item that you want to delete:The FAQs module with an item's Choose an Action menu expanded, and the Unpublish option highlighted.

  5. Find the item under the Unpublished section, select Choose an Action, and then Delete:The FAQs module with an unpublished question's Choose an Action menu expanded, and the Delete option highlighted.

  6. Select OK from the confirmation pop-up asking, Are you sure you want to delete this item?:The FAQs module deletion confirmation message with the OK button highlighted.
