Default Messages Tab

The Default Messages tab lets you create a default message using HTML. This message is sent to subscribers on your site. Default Messages are the email or SMS text alerts the public receives when new agendas are posted to the public site after they sign up for Notify Me®. Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site.

  2. Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select Agenda Center:

  3. Create or modify a category.

  4. Select the Default Messages tab:

    The Agenda Center interface shows options such as Default Messages and Properties. The Default Messages tab is highlighted.

  5. Fill in the appropriate information:

    The HTML subscriber welcome message with options to manage subscriptions and lists.

    • HTML Subscriber Welcome Message: Enter the HTML message sent to new subscribers

    • Copy HTML to Text: Copy the HTML message to the corresponding text-only message

    • Text Subscriber Welcome Message: Enter the plain text message sent to new subscribers

      This E-mail is in response to a subscription request. You have just subscribed to the following list: City Council This is in addition to any other lists you may have previously subscribed to. If these list subscriptions are incorrect then you can modify or cancel them by visiting: http://cp-salesbase7.civicplus.com/List.aspx?Mode=Manage&Email=<<MailTo>> Thank you for your interest!
    • HTML List Header: Enter HTML content displayed at the top of notification emails

    • Copy HTML to Text: Copy the HTML header to the corresponding text-only header

    • Text List Header: Enter the plain text content displayed at the top of notification emails

    • HTML List Footer: Enter HTML content displayed at the bottom of notification emails

    • Copy HTML to Text: Copy the HTML footer to the corresponding text-only footer

    • Text List Footer: Enter the plain text content displayed at the bottom of notification emails

  6. Click the Save Changes button:

    The Agenda Center interface shows options and a highlighted Save Changes button.
