Disable the Alert Bar for an Alert Center category when you no longer want alerts from that category to display as a banner on your site. You can re-enable the Alert Bar at any time if needed.

Instructions
Navigate to Modules, click Content, and select Alert Center:
Select the category that has the alert bar enabled:
Click Actions for the category:
Select Modify:
Navigate to the Show Alert Bar section. Select the Disabled radio button:
Click the Save Changes button:
