Enable Alert Bar in Alert Center

Who can use this feature?

System Administrators | Owners | Publishers

Important Note:

  • The location of the bar is set at the top of the page

  • You can determine the display for Home Page Only, All Pages, or Department page and subpages in the alert item

  • The text in the Title and Read On... fields is the one that will appear in the Alert Bar

  • The Alert Bar will only show 2 alerts at once.

Instructions

  1. Click ModulesThe drop down labeled Modules.

  2. Click Content The left-hand navigation tab labeled Content.

  3. Click Alert Center The URL labeled Alert Center.

  4. Select the category you would like to enable the alert bar under The category name in the All Categories column.

  5. Select Actions next to the category The button labeled Actions to the right of the category name.

  6. Click Modify The button labeled Modify.

  7. Select the Enabled bubble under Show Alert Bar The radio button labeled Enabled under the Show Alert Bar header.

    Note:

    This is only recommended for emergencies.

  8. Select Save Changes at the top of the page The button labeled Save Changes.
