Enable Alert Bar in Alert Center

Who can use this feature?

System Administrators | Owners | Publishers

Important Note:

  • The location of the bar is set at the top of the page

  • You can determine the display for Home Page Only, All Pages, or Department page and subpages in the alert item

  • The text in the Title and Read On... fields is the one that will appear in the Alert Bar

  • The Alert Bar will only show 2 alerts at once.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site.

  2. Click Modules, then Content, then Alert Center:The navigation menu highlights the Alert Center option in the Municipal Websites Central interface.

  3. Select the category where you want to enable the Alert Bar:

  4. Select the Actions button for the category:

  5. Click Modify:

  6. Navigate to the Show Alert Bar section. Select the Enabled radio button:

    Note:

    This is recommended for emergencies only.

  7. Select the Save Changes button:

  8. The Alert Bar will appear on the page:

    An emergency alert about the Stone Street closure from Fiske Boulevard to Pineapple Avenue.
