Restore an Archived Document Center Item

Important Notes:

  • If a document is restored from archives, the document ID will change.

  • If you want to restore a document to replace a different one, you must download the file and then replace the desired file location with the restored one.

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner

Instructions

  1. Click Modules The drop down menu labeled Modules.

  2. Click Content The navigation tab labeled Content.

  3. Click Document Center The URL labeled Document Center.

  4. Click Go To Archives The button labeled Go to Archives, below the Home header.

  5. Configure the Filters The filter options on the right-hand side of the page below the Filters header.

    • Keyword: Add any keywords

    • Archived

      • In the past: Choose Week, 2 Weeks, Month, or Year

      • From/To: Create a timeframe

    • Display: Only display Documents

      Note:

      Folders are not available for restoration.

    • Reason: Choose a reason for archival

  6. Click Apply The button labeled Apply below the filter settings.

  7. View results; click Actions next to the Document you want to restore The button labeled Actions in the unlabeled column.

  8. Select Restore The option labeled Restore in the Actions menu.

    Note:

    Only items with an Archived On date will be available for restoration.

  9. Choose a Folder to place the restored Document in The list of destination folders in the Restore Document modal.

  10. Click Restore The Restore button at the bottom of the Restore Document modal.

  11. View and modify Document Details An example image of the document details.

    • Display Name: Modify the display name

    • Replace File: Click Choose File to choose a new file

      • Convert to PDF: Convert the file type to PDF

    • Current Document

      • Description: Add a description; 200 character limit

      • Visibility: Choose to hide this document from the public

    • Show Additional Details

      • Display

        • From: Choose a later publishing date

        • To: Choose an expiration/unpublishing date

  12. Click Save The button labeled Save.

  13. To publish the item, click Actions next to the Document The button in the column labeled Actions.

  14. Select Publish The options labeled Publish.
