Sorting options give you flexibility in how content items show on the News Flash page. You can enable date-sorting options for News Flash users. When enabled, users can access this feature from the main News Flash page. The page will include a dropdown menu that lets users sort content by Most Recent or Category.
In News Flash's Properties, the Sort by Date option can be set as the default for News Flash content. Have the Primary Contact on your account contact Support if you can't see News Flash's sorting option or want to change the default sort order.
News Flash Widget Sorting
The News Flash widget can also display content items by Most Recent rather than Category. You can also show the published date and/or the category in the widget.
To use this sorting functionality, you must create it as an option set for the News Flash widget. You can make option sets if you have Design Center Pro, or you can contact Support for help.
Instructions
Navigate to your News Flash page at domain.civicplus/civicalerts.aspx.
Click the Sort By drop-down menu:
Select Category or Most Recent:
Sort by Category: Groups and displays news items organized by their assigned category
Sort by Most Recent: Displays news items in order from the most recently posted to the oldest
The page will update. View items in the preferred sorting order:
