Manage Broken Links

The Broken Links tool displays a list of every broken link on a site. It scans a site every 15 minutes for broken or improper links, making it easy to find and fix broken links.

View and Test Broken Links

1. Expand the Administration Menu on the Dashboard
   

2. Click Manage Broken Links

3. View the list of broken links on the site

4. Click the link in the Found Here column

   • If the link is broken, fix the broken link

   • If the link is not broken, change the select request method

   • If the link continues to appear in the broken list report and is not broken, remove it from the report

Fix a Broken Link

1. Review the Found Here column

   Note:

   The content section tells you what page the link is on. The Field section tells you what part of the page the broken link is on.

2. Click the Content link

3. Click Edit on the page

4. Locate the link in the field noted in the Found Here column

5. Correct the URL

6. Click Save

Change the Select Request Method

1. Click the Edit button in the Operations column

2. Change the Select request method from HEAD to GET

3. Click Save

Remove a Link from the Broken Links Report

1. Click the Edit button in the Operations column

2. Uncheck the box titled Check link status

3. Click Save
