Create an Activity

This article will show you how to create an Activity.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your Recreation Management solution

  2. Navigate to the Activities tab and select Activity List: The Activity List option in the Recreation Management's secondary navigation menu.

  3. Select the Create Activity button: The Create Activity Button within the Activities section.

  4. Fill in the fields: Create Activity Fields to populate when creating a new activity.

    • Activity Name, Code (Required): Add the title of the activity and an optional code

    • Activity Type, Category (Required): Select the Type of activity and the Category of the activity

      Notes:

      • If the desired category is not among the options, select the + icon beside the category drop-down list to quickly create a new category.

      • You can select multiple categories. The activity will be displayed under the selected categories on the Catalog.

    • Prerequisite Activities: Choose to require users to be enrolled in other activities before enrollment can occur for this activity

    • Image: Choose to attach an image

      Note:

      The image will only show up on the public catalog if the Display Activity Images on Catalog setting is enabled under Organization Options. The size limitation for an image is 20 megabytes (MB)

    • Max Registrations Per User: Only applies within the current program period, meaning 1 user can sign up for the activity the number of times set (used primarily for leveled activities)

    • Default GL Code: The GL (General Ledger) Code chosen here will auto-populate a GL entry for new sessions; it will not impact existing sessions with no GL code

    • Document Types: Select to add Document Types to the activity

      Note:

      Document Management is a paid feature. For more information, please contact Support or your Customer Success Manager.

    • Full Description: Add information about the activity. You can include images and descriptions in the full description box.

    • Print Description: Optional print description field for printed/exported catalog. This can be used for text without images and with less detail for a print catalog.

  5. Select Save New Activity: Save New Activity Button to save your work in creating a new activity.

  6. Add sessions to the activity
