Create Inventory Entry

Enter inventory at any location from the new POS management screen, with the convenience of UPC scanning.

Important Note

Items that track inventory are not recommended to be sold on the public side (in a public catalog) because the inventory will not be tracked, as it cannot be tied to a specific location.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the POS Items tabPOS items option in the left navigation menu.

  2. Select the Inventory By Location tab. Inventory by Location tab.

  3. Select the Add Inventory Entry button. Add Inventory Entry Button.

  4. Fill in the fields on the Create Inventory Entry form. Create Inventory Entry Form.

    • Date/Time: Optionally override the date and time of the inventory entry

    • Location: Select the location where you want to track inventory.

    • Item: Select your previously configured POS item or select

      • Use the UPC Scan to scan your item

    • Quantity: Enter your starting number of items

    • Cost: Optionally enter the cost of all the items entered

      • Do not add the unit cost. For example, if you are entering 100 candy bars and the cost of 100 candy bars is $80, enter $80.

    • Entry Type: Indicate if you are adding or burning inventory

    • Notes: Enter any additional notes

  5. Select the Save New Inventory Entry button.Save New Inventory button.
