Edit Contact Preferences

This article will show you how to edit the email and/or phone contact information for an account as well as their Notification preferences.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your solution

  2. If needed, select your Location

  3. Search and Select your User Highlighted Search bar and selected user on the accounts page.

  4. Under Account Actions, select Account Contact Preferences: Account Actions list with Account Contact Preferences highlighted.

  5. Click the Edit Contact Method button next to the contact method you want to update: Table displaying contact methods with editing tools and the pencil icon highlighted.

    Note: In the account's list of Contact Preferences, you can turn a contact method's notification options on or off. If enabled, the user receives messages for:Account contact preferences showing selected notification options for users with checkbox options.

    • Courtesy Notices: Low-priority messages

    • Critical Announcements: Emergency or high-alert messages

    • Upcoming Events: Messages about future events

  6. Edit the contact method's preferences:

    • Type: Select Email or Mobile (phone): Account contact preferences dropdown menu showing email and mobile type options for notifications.

      • Email Options: Email preferences settings with options for notices, announcements, and events selected.

        • Email: The Account Owner's email address

        • Label: A name or additional information about the contact method

        • Notification Checkboxes: If enabled, the user receives messages for:

          • Courtesy Notices: Low-priority messages

          • Critical Announcements: Emergency or high-alert messages

          • Upcoming Events: Messages about future events

      • Mobile Options: User preferences for mobile phone notifications and event announcements are displayed in settings.

        • Mobile Phone: The account owner's phone number

        • Label: A name or additional information about the contact method

        • Can receive text messages: If enabled, the user receives SMS messages to their mobile phone

        • Notification Checkboxes: If enabled, the user receives messages for:

          • Courtesy Notices: Low-priority messages

          • Critical Announcements: Emergency or high-alert messages

          • Upcoming Events: Messages about future events

  7. Click the Save Contact Method button: Buttons for saving or deleting a contact method with the save contact method button highlighted.
