Braintree is one of the payment gateways supported by Payments. Provided below is information about the available features and how Payments and Braintree work with Recreation Management.

Cards on File

Follow the instructions to Add a Card on File to a Recreation Management account. The Braintree form to add a card will show as:

Card on file braintree.

Once added, the user will be able to use the saved card during checkout. To learn more about stored payment methods in Braintree, view the Payments article about Braintree Cards-on-File.

Important Note:

To increase security, CivicPlus has added managed challenges (CAPTCHA) to Payments. Before reaching the hosted payment form, users may see a security screen like the one that follows: Checking if the Connection is Secure.

Checkout Process: Internal

Cards on File

  1. On the Payment screen, select the Credit/Debit option Credit debit option on payment screen.

  2. If the account has a Card on File, you can select a Saved CardBraintree saved card.

  3. Click Add Credit/Debit PaymentAdd credit debit payment.

  4. Select Complete TransactionComplete transaction.

eCommerce

  1. On the Payment screen, select the Credit/Debit option Credit debit option on payment screen.

  2. Review the Amount and click Continue to PaymentContinue to payment.

    • Save Card: This option will be selected by default. Uncheck if you do not wish to save the payment method for future use.

    • Overpayment: Select if the Amount listed is higher than the Total Charges.

  3. Before reaching the hosted payment form, you may see a security screen like the one that follows Checking if the Connection is Secure.

  4. Enter the card information Add card information.

  5. Select Pay to complete the transaction Pay button.

Checkout Process: Public

Cards on File

The instructions below show the process for checking out with a card on file in the public catalog.

  1. On the Payment screen, select a Saved Card from the dropdown Saved card list.

  2. Click Submit PaymentSubmit payment.

  3. Review charges and select Complete TransactionComplete transaction.

eCommerce

  1. On the Payment screen, review the charges and select Continue to PaymentContinue to payment.

    • Save Card: This option will be selected by default. Uncheck if you do not wish to save the payment method for future use.

  2. Before reaching the hosted payment form, you may see a security screen like the one below Checking if the Connection is Secure.

  3. Fill out the fields for the card Enter card information.

  4. Click Pay to complete the transaction Pay button.

Checkout Process: Public Mobile View

Cards on File

The instructions below show the process for checking out with a card on file on the mobile public catalog.

  1. Click Checkout in the cart Checkout screen.

  2. On the Payment screen, select a Saved Card from the list and click Review TransactionSaved card.

  3. Review charges and select Complete TransactionComplete transaction.

  1. Click Checkout in the cart Checkout button.

  2. On the Payment screen, select Continue to PaymentContinue to payment.

    • Save Card: This option will be selected by default. Uncheck if you do not wish to save the payment method for future use.

  3. Before reaching the hosted payment form, you may see a security screen like the one following: Mobile security popup.

  4. Fill out the payment details Payment information.

  5. Click Pay to complete the transaction Pay button.
