Send Short Message Service (SMS) Alerts about Facilities

CivicRec includes features that allow you to directly contact users. In addition to sending emails to customers, you can also communicate via SMS Alerts/Text messaging. This article will show you how to send SMS alerts/texts to facility rental customers.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Communicate tab, then select SMS Alerts Left-hand menu, communicate tab, SMS alerts.

  2. Select the Facility tab Facility tab.

  3. Fill in fields Facility fields to be completed.

    • Selected Facilities: Choose Locations/Facilities

    • Rental Date Range: Add the From Date and To Date

    • Recipient Count: Will auto-populate with the number of customers you will send a message to

    • Subject: Add a subject heading

    • Text Message: Add message content (messages are limited to 160 characters). Be sure to include your organization name in the field so those receiving the message know where it's coming from.

  4. Click Send Message Send message button.

  5. Recently sent SMS Alert messages will display under Recent Alerts on the right-hand side Recent alerts shows recently sent SMS alerts.
