This article covers how to connect your Nextdoor Account to Social Media Archiving.
Important Notes
Nextdoor's API is still in Beta and Social Media Archiving is making best efforts to capture all available content
Currently, we can capture the following content:
Account Profile
Public Agency (Account) Posts
Nextdoor API limitations/restrictions:
Videos in posts cannot be captured
Polls cannot be captured and will show as blank records
Backtracking is currently limited to the 50 most recent amount posts
User Comments on Account Posts
Nextdoor API limitations/restrictions:
Only the user ID, not the name of the Profile, will show for users making comments
Attachments from comments cannot be captured
Direct messages cannot be captured
Events
Nextdoor API limitations/restrictions:
The event date and time cannot be captured
We expect a more robust capture of additional content in the future as Nextdoor expands its API access
Required
Each Staff user posting to your Nextdoor Agency account must connect their Staff account to the Archive to capture their posts made on the Agency account.
Example: If you have three Staff member accounts posting to your Agency account, all three should individually connect their Staff account under their respective Social Media Archiving user
Agency account records will be split up and housed under each Staff user account that created the records
