This article goes over the steps of setting up your Social Media Archiving. Setting up your Archive only takes a few minutes.

Gather User and Social Media Account Information: Who Manages What Accounts?

  • Login credentials are required to connect social media accounts to the archive.

    • Facebook and Instagram require a Facebook Profile with Admin rights on the Facebook Page.

      • This is called Facebook Access with Full Control on the New Pages Experience

    • If you have social media account logins or are a Facebook Page Administrator, you can connect accounts yourself.

    • Otherwise, you can add co-workers as Account Owners to connect the accounts they manage.

Set Your Password, Accept The Terms Of Service, and Log In To Your Archive

  • Primary Administrator: Find your password setup link in an email titled Archive Social: Access your new archive, which is sent on your archive start date.

  • Trials converted to subscriptions retain existing Admin login credentials.

Add Archive Users

  • System Administrators manage users and records. Added on the System Admins tab, System Admins receive an email with a password setup link for archive access.

  • Account Owners connect social media accounts to the archive. Added using the Social Media Accounts tab, Account Owners receive a custom link to their email to connect the accounts they manage.

  • Only names and work emails are needed to add users. Emails do not need to match those used for account logins.

Connect Accounts

  • Account Owners connect accounts using a custom link they receive in their email when added as users.

  • System Admins who are also Account Owners connect their social media accounts directly from the archive.

  • View instructions for connecting accounts.
