Neptune is a major water meter manufacturer that uses mesh networks to electronically read meters without the use of driving routes or performing manual reads. Integrating with Neptune360 allows you to:

  • Electronically pull in meter reads directly into Utility Billing by pushing a button

  • Eliminates the need for you to drive meter reading routes

Important Notes:

  • The most recent read from the previous 24 hour period will be imported

  • An event will be created on each meter with the read. These can be viewed from the Service tab on the account

  • Reads can only be imported once per cycle

Import Neptune 360 Meter Readings

  1. Sign In to Utility Billing

  2. Click on the Operations tab
    Operations tab.

  3. Select the billing cycle for which you want to perform the import
    Billing Cycle in the Operations tab.

  4. Click the Import button on the Neptune360 card
    Import button on the Neptune 360 card.

    Note:

    Once clicked, the button will turn grey and will not allow you to click it again

  5. View the Import Results

Meter Import Results

This process can take several minutes to run, depending on the number of meters included in the billing cycle. Once the process is complete, you will get a summary of the number of reads imported and the number that failed.

The list includes all the failed meters. You can use this to troubleshoot missed reads.

The Neptune360 Import card will update with the date the reads were imported.

Troubleshoot Missed or Failed Readings

  1. Check that the meter is correctly classified

  2. Check that the account is in the right billing cycle

  3. Check Neptune360 for additional information
