Recurring Events and Time Blocks

There may be time when you would like to block off time on an individual’s calendar, such as lunch, breaks, holidays, and vacation time. Recurring Events and Time Blocks can be used to show that a user can’t be scheduled at that time.

Who can use this feature?

Supervisors with permissions to use the scheduler.

To Add a Time Block

  1. Pull up the individual’s calendar

  2. Double click anywhere on the calendar (preferably close to where you want to schedule your time block)

  3. Fill out:

    1. The Title

    2. Start and End Date

    3. Assigned User - will be pre-populated based on where you clicked.

Recurring Events

To add a recurring event:

  1. Double-click on the individual’s calendar

  2. Fill out:

    1. The title

    2. Start date and time

    3. End Date and Time

  3. Check Recurring

Check the recurring checkbox.

  1. You can then set the pattern

    1. Daily - recur every set number of days

    2. Weekly - recur every set number of weeks on the days selected

    3. Monthly - recur on a set day of the month every X number of months (for example, recur on the third day of the month every 1 month) or recur on a set day of the week on the first, second, third, fourth or last week of the month every X number of months (i.e. recur on the second Monday of the month every 2 months)

    4. Yearly - recur once a year on a particular day and month (for example, recur on July 4th every year) or recur on a set day of the week on the first, second, third, fourth or last week of the month every year (for example, recur on the third Thursday every November)

  1. Click Save.

The Save button.

  1. The modal will close and you will see your recurring event on the calendar.
