Manage Your Alerts in the Resident Portal

The Alerts and Weather Alerts tabs allow you to manage your Mass Notification subscriptions in the Resident Portal.

Important Note

When subscribing to Weather voice alerts for your home or cell phone, you will only receive a call for the alert you have subscribed to if it is a "Warning" status or severe weather. All other Weather Alerts will be provided using SMS or Email.

Subscribe to Alerts

  1. Navigate to your organization's Resident Portal page

    Note:

    You will need to sign in to the Portal to manage your notification preferences.

  2. Select the Alerts & Notifications tab The Alerts and Notifications option in the Resident Portal navigation menu.

  3. Select the Alerts or Weather Alerts tab The Alerts and Weather Alerts tabs on the Alerts and Notifications page.

  4. If needed, use the Search bar to search for a subscription list The Search bar on the Alerts tab.

  5. Use the toggle next to a list to subscribe to alerts The subscription toggles next to alert lists.

    Note:

    You can also select the Subscribe to All button to receive notifications for all alerts.Subscribe to All button on the Alerts tab.

  6. The first time you subscribe to a list you will be prompted to complete your profile. Your Email will automatically populate. Click Continue with Email Only to just subscribe to email alerts, or choose to also Add Phone Alerts. User profile page with the Continue with Email Only and Add Phone Alerts buttons highlighted.

  7. (Optional) If you choose to add phone alerts, fill out the Phone Number fields: Form for completing profile with phone number options for alerts and notifications.

    • Mobile and Voice Alerts: Select an existing number or add a new one. The first Cell Phone number field is required to receive weather alerts. This number must support text messages.

    • Voice Alerts: Select an existing number or add a new one. The Home Phone field is required to receive weather alert calls.

  8. Click NextThe Next button on the phone number screen.

  9. Click Send Verification Code to verify the cell phone number you provided User interface for cell phone number verification with a Send Verification Code button.

  10. Enter the One Time Password that was sent to your phone and click Verify CodeCell phone number verification screen with one time password input field highlighted.

  11. Click Next once the phone number is verified Cell phone number verification screen with a highlighted Next button.

  12. Click Add New Address to enter a location User profile completion prompt highlighting the 'Add New Address' button for alerts.

  13. Fill out the address fields in the pop-up Form to add address and location details using Google Maps integration.

    Note:

    If you prefer not to provide your specific address, you can provide your general location. City, State, and Zip Code are required to receive Notifications.

    • Address Label: Edit the default label to describe the address, such as "Home Address"

    • Country: Type and select the applicable country

    • Search Google Maps: Type and select an address to search Google Maps and auto-populate the remaining fields

    • Address: Add the address for your location

    • City, State, Zip: You will need to enter your city, state, and zip code

    • Shipping Address is the same: Check the box if the address you entered is the same as your shipping address

  14. Click Save ChangesButton to Save Changes on the address fields page.

  15. Select the address and click NextUser interface for completing profile with address selection and a highlighted Next button.

  16. Select your preferred Language(s) and click NextProfile completion screen for subscribing to alerts with language selection options and a highlighted Next button.

  17. Review your information User profile review section with fields for email, phone number, and address information.

  18. Click Save and CompleteSave and Complete button on the subscribe to alerts page.

    Note:

    The profile information will automatically be used when you subscribe to alerts in the future. You can click Manage Contact Information to update, as needed.Manage Contact Information button on the Alerts tab.

  19. A green confirmation bar will appear in the bottom right corner when you have successfully subscribed to a list Notification confirming subscription to alerts.


Unsubscribe from Alerts

  1. Go to your organization's Resident Portal page

  2. Select the Alerts & Notifications tab The Alerts and Notifications option in the Resident Portal navigation menu.

  3. Select the Alerts or Weather Alerts tab The Alerts and Weather Alerts tabs on the Alerts and Notifications page.

  4. Click the toggle button next to the list you want to unsubscribe from The subscription toggle next to an alert.

    Note:

    You can also use the Unsubscribe from All button to unsubscribe from all alerts.The 'Unsubscribe from All' button on the alerts tab.

  5. A green confirmation bar will appear in the bottom right corner when you have successfully unsubscribed Notification confirming unsubscription from alerts.


Manage Contact Information

  1. Go to your organization's Resident Portal page

  2. Select the Alerts & Notifications tab The Alerts and Notifications option in the Resident Portal navigation menu.

  3. Select the Alerts or Weather Alerts tab The Alerts and Weather Alerts tabs on the Alerts and Notifications page.

  4. Click Manage Contact InformationManage Contact Information button on the Alerts tab.

  5. Update your contact information, as needed, on Account Service Manage contact information with email alerts and update options for user profiles.
