Manage Your Alerts in the Resident Portal

The Alerts and Weather Alerts tabs allow you to manage your Mass Notification subscriptions in the Resident Portal.

Important Note

  • When subscribing to Weather voice alerts for your home or cell phone, you will only receive a call for the alert you have subscribed to if it is a "Warning" status or severe weather. All other Weather Alerts will be provided using SMS or Email.

Subscribe to Alerts

  1. Navigate to your organization's Resident Portal page

    Note: You will need to sign in to the Portal to manage your notification preferences.

  2. Select the Alerts & Notifications tab Alerts and Notifications tab.

  3. Select the Alerts or Weather Alerts tab Alerts or Weather Alerts tabs.

  4. If needed, use the Search bar to search for a subscription list Search box.

  5. Use the toggle next to a list to subscribe to alerts Toggle next to alert list.

    Note: You can also select the Subscribe to All button to receive notifications for all alerts.Subscribe to all button.

  6. The first time you subscribe to a list you will be prompted to complete your profile. Your Email will automatically populate. Click Continue with Email Only to just subscribe to email alerts, or choose to also Add Phone Alerts. Resident Portal - Alerts - Continue with email only or add phone alerts.png

  7. (Optional) If you choose to add phone alerts, fill out the Phone Number fields: Profile pop up.

    • Mobile and Voice Alerts: Select an existing number or add a new one. The first Cell Phone number field is required to receive weather alerts. This number must support text messages.

    • Voice Alerts: Select an existing number or add a new one. The Home Phone field is required to receive weather alert calls.

  8. Click NextNext button.

  9. Click Send Verification Code to verify the cell phone number you provided Send verification code.

  10. Enter the One Time Password that was sent to your phone and click Verify CodeVerify code.

  11. Click Next once the phone number is verified Next button on verification screen.

  12. Click Add New Address to enter a location Add new address.

  13. Fill out the address fields in the pop-up Address fields.

    Note: If you prefer not to provide your specific address, you can provide your general location. City, State, and Zip Code are required to receive Notifications.

    • Address Label: Edit the default label to describe the address, such as "Home Address"

    • Country: Type and select the applicable country

    • Search Google Maps: Type and select an address to search Google Maps and auto-populate the remaining fields

    • Address: Add the address for your location

    • City, State, Zip: You will need to enter your city, state, and zip code

    • Shipping Address is the same: Check the box if the address you entered is the same as your shipping address

  14. Click Save ChangesAddress save changes.

  15. Select the address and click NextNext button on Address screen.

  16. Select your preferred Language(s) and click NextLanguage fields.

  17. Review your information Review information.

  18. Click Save and CompleteSave and Complete.

    Note: The profile information will automatically be used when you subscribe to alerts in the future. You can click Manage Contact Information to update, as needed.Manage contact information button.

  19. A green confirmation bar will appear in the bottom right corner when you have successfully subscribed to a list Subscribed success.

Unsubscribe from Alerts

  1. Go to your organization's Resident Portal page

  2. Select the Alerts & Notifications tab Alerts and Notifications tab.

  3. Select the Alerts or Weather Alerts tab Alerts or Weather Alerts tabs.

  4. Click the toggle button next to the list you want to unsubscribe from Unsubscribe toggle.

    Note: You can also use the Unsubscribe from All button to unsubscribe from all alerts.Unsubscribe from all button.

  5. A green confirmation bar will appear in the bottom right corner when you have successfully unsubscribed Unubscribed success.

Manage Contact Information

  1. Go to your organization's Resident Portal page

  2. Select the Alerts & Notifications tab Alerts and Notifications.

  3. Select the Alerts or Weather Alerts tab Alerts or Weather Alerts.

  4. Click Manage Contact InformationManage contact information.

  5. Update your contact information, as needed, on Account Service Manage contact fields.
