Important Note
You may need to Configure your CivicPlus Payment Device first. If the Device says that it is “Unregistered” you will need to perform these steps.
Instructions
Ensure that the device is powered on.
Verify that the device is connected to your network using Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or Cellular connection.
Use your solution to initiate the payment process. You will then be brought to a screen where you will be asked to select your device from a list.
Select the device you wish to use from the list and click the Prompt on Device button.
Follow the prompts on the device. You may test by inserting the EMV Chip, utilizing the Tap functionality, or if the card does not have either capability, swipe the magnetic stripe.
When the transaction is approved, you will be redirected to your payment solution. A receipt should be generated. If the transaction is declined, you will be redirected to the solution and should have the opportunity to retry the payment.
Validate that the funds are captured in CivicPlus Payments. The status should say Processing.
You may now follow the process to reverse (void or refund) the approved transaction within your solution.
Validate that the reversal has been processed in CivicPlus Payments. The status should say Canceled.
