Task snippets allow users to create reusable text templates specifically for task descriptions. Task Snippets are available as a dropdown in Task Description fields. They can include merge tags that automatically populate item details, reducing manual entry and making it easier for task owners. This article will show you how to create, edit, reorder, and delete task snippets.

Create a Task Snippet
Sign in to the system if you have not already
Navigate to the User Menu, then select the Settings option:

Click the Meetings tile:

Click the Text Snippets tile:

Scroll down to the Task Snippets section:

Click the New Task Snippet button:

Fill in the Add New Task Snippet fields:

Snippet Name: Enter a name for the task snippet
Snippet Text: Enter the text of the snippet
Note:
You can use the paragraph formatting and text formatting tools to format the display of the snippet text as desired:

Snippet Group: Select the snippet group you wish to assign the snippet to, if desired
Click Create Task Snippet to save the new task snippet and return to the Text Snippets page, or click Create and Add New to save the new task snippet and immediately begin creating a new one:

Edit a Task Snippet
Sign in to the system if you have not already
Navigate to the User Menu, then select the Settings option:

Click the Meetings tile:

Click the Text Snippets tile:

Scroll down to the Task Snippets section:

Click the Edit tool (purple pencil icon) to the right of the task snippet you wish to edit:

Update the Edit Task Snippet fields as desired:

Snippet Name: Edit the name of the task snippet
Snippet Text: Edit or enter the text of the snippet

Snippet Group: Select the snippet group you wish to assign the snippet to, if desired
Click the Save Changes button:

The task snippet has been edited
Reorder Task Snippets
Sign in to the system if you have not already
Navigate to the User Menu, then select the Settings option:

Click the Meetings tile:

Click the Text Snippets tile:

Scroll to the Task Snippets section:

Click the Edit Order button:

Click and hold the grid icon next to the task snippets you wish to move, then drag and drop them into the desired order:

Click the Save Changes button:

The task snippets have been reordered
Delete a Task Snippet
Sign in to the system if you have not already
Navigate to the User Menu, then select the Settings option:

Click the Meetings tile:

Click the Text Snippets tile:

Scroll down to the Task Snippets section:

Click the Delete tool (red trash can icon) to the right of the task snippet you wish to delete:

Click the Delete Task Snippet button on the Delete Task Snippet pop-up that appears to confirm the deletion:

The task snippet has been deleted
