Generate an Embed Code for a CivicPlus Media Live Stream

Prev Next

This article will show you how to generate an embed code for a CivicPlus Media live stream. The live stream embed code creates a simple video player that can be placed on any page of your organization's website. Once embedded, the video player will always display anything sent to the configured stream key. Viewers can begin seeing and hearing the live stream as soon as the encoder starts streaming.

Important Notes

  • Live stream embeds begin displaying as soon as a stream is started on the encoder, even if the event has not yet been set to live within Agenda and Meeting Management Select. Any audio or video captured before the event is officially marked live may still be visible to viewers accessing the stream embed.

  • Because the live stream embed functions as a constant video player that displays anything sent to the configured stream key, CivicPlus Media’s “Pause a Live Stream” functionality does not apply to embedded streams. Viewers accessing the stream embed will continue to see any content transmitted after the encoder stream has started.
