This article will show you how to subscribe and unsubscribe from Public Portal notifications.

Subscribe to Public Portal Notifications

  1. Navigate to your municipality's Public PortalAn example Public Portal homepage.

    Note:

    The layout and display of your municipality's Public Portal will depend on the customizations that have been implemented.

  2. Click the Sign In button if you are not already signed in:The Public Portal sign in button.

    Note:

    If you are already signed in to the Public Portal, skip to step 5.

  3. If you already have a Single Sign-On account, follow the on-screen prompts to sign in to your Public Portal:The CivicPlus Single Sign-On sign-in screen.

  4. If you do not have a Single Sign-On account, click the Sign Up link to create a new account:The Sign-up link which appears above the email field.

  5. Click the Subscriptions button once you are signed in to the Public Portal:The Subscriptions button in the upper-right corner of the Public Portal homepage.

  6. A Subscriptions Management pop-up will appear:The Public Portal Subscriptions Management dialog with one Meeting Type subscription toggled on.

  7. Click the toggle next to a Meeting Type name that is toggled off to subscribe to email notifications for that meeting type:An example Meeting Type subscription toggle in the off position.

  8. You have subscribed to the selected notifications:A green, rectangular You have subscribed message which appears below the Subscriptions Management dialog after a subscription has been toggled on.

  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 as necessary to subscribe to additional notifications


Unsubscribe from Public Portal Notifications

  1. Navigate to your municipality's Public PortalAn example Public Portal homepage.

    Note:

    The layout and display of your municipality's Public Portal will depend on the customizations that have been selected.

  2. Click the Sign In button if you are not already signed in:The CivicPlus Single Sign-On sign-in screen.

    Note:

    If you are already signed in to the Public Portal, skip to step 4.

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to sign in to your Public Portal:The CivicPlus Single Sign-On sign-in screen.

  4. Click the Subscriptions button once you are signed in to the Public Portal:The Subscriptions button in the upper-right corner of the Public Portal homepage.

  5. A Subscriptions Management pop-up will appear:The Public Portal Subscriptions Management dialog with two Meeting Type subscriptions toggled on.

  6. Click the toggle next to a Meeting Type name that is toggled on to unsubscribe from email notifications for that meeting type:An example Meeting Type subscription toggle in the on position.

  7. You have unsubscribed from the selected notifications:A green, rectangular You have subscribed message which appears below the Subscriptions Management dialog box after a subscription has been toggled off.

  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 as many times as necessary to unsubscribe from additional notifications
