View Motions and Votes on the Public Portal

The Public Portal's Voting History feature allows residents to navigate to a meeting's Meeting Overview tab and view votes cast by board, commission, and committee members. This article will show you how to view recorded motions and votes on the Public Portal.

Important Notes

  • Contact Support to enable the Voting History feature and make recorded motions and votes visible on your Public Portal.

  • The images in this article show a standard Public Portal with few modifications. The layout and appearance of your Public Portal may differ depending on your municipality's customizations.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to your Public Portal:

    The Public Portal homepage.

  2. Navigate to the desired meeting:

    An event selected in the Events List.

  3. Click the Meeting Overview tab if you are not already viewing it:

  4. Click the Motions/Votes button next to the desired section or item:

    A Motions/Votes button to the right of an example item name.

  5. A Motions/Votes Detail pop-up will appear with the motions and votes for your selection:

  6. Click the Close button (X icon) to close the Motions/Votes Detail pop-up when you are finished:

    The 'Motions and Votes Detail' message's 'Closed' icon is highlighted.

  7. Repeat Steps 4 through 6 as many times as needed
