Add and Manage the Staff Directory Widget on a Page

With the Staff Directory widget detailed contact information for staff and offices can be shared on any page or pages from the Staff Directory Module.

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner | Publisher | Author (can add to unpublished pages)

Add the Staff Directory Widget to a Page

  1. Log in to your site and navigate to your desired page

  2. Ensure that Live Edit Is On:The Live Edit status for a page is toggled to ON and highlighted.

  3. On the Live Edit panel, select the Widgets tab and click the Modules subtab:The Live Edit panel with the Widgets tab and the Modules subtab highlighted.

  4. Drag and drop the Staff Directory widget to your desired place on the page A Staff Directory widget tile being drag-and-dropped onto a page.

  5. Fill out Widget options:The Staff Directory Widget Options pop-up box with various fields and toggles displayed.

    • Skin: Select appearance style

    • Header Text: Create header text

    • Option Set: Select an option set

    • Number of Columns: Display content in columns

    • Header Link: Choose to have the header link to the Staff Directory home screen or a custom link

    • AdvancedThe Advanced section of the Staff Directory Widget Options, with various toggles displayed.

      • Widget Breakpoint: Width at which the widget will switch from narrow to wide view

      • Push To All Versions of this Page: Add a copy of this widget to all versions of this page

      • Push To All Subpages of this Page: Add a copy of this widget to all subpages of this page

      • Push Options: Choose where to put the widget within pushed pages

  6. Navigate to the Departments & Staff tabThe Staff Directory Widget Options window with the Departments & Staff tab highlighted.

  7. Search for Departments or Staff Names to display:The Staff Directory Widget Options window on the Departments & Staff tab with the Search field and results highlighted.

  8. Click the Add Another Item (+) button to add the item:The Staff Directory Widget Options window on the Departments & Staff tab with the Add Another Item ( ) button highlighted.

  9. Select which features to display for the entry:A selected department's feature toggles are highlighted in the Staff Directory Widget Options window.

    Note:

    Options will differ depending on the entry selected.

    • Link to staff in Staff Directory: Displays a link to the wider Staff Directory

  10. Repeat steps 7 to 9 to add more employees:

    Note:

    Departments and staff can be reordered by clicking the Staff member or Department name and dragging the item up and down the list.

  11. Click the Close (X) when finished:The Staff Directory Widget Options window with the Close (X) button highlighted.

  12. View the Contact Information:A Staff Directory widget highlighted on the Election Workers page.

  13. Select Save:The Save button in the top right corner of the page.


Modify the Staff Directory Widget

  1. Log in to your site and navigate to your desired page

  2. Ensure that Live Edit Is On:The Live Edit status for a page is toggled to ON and highlighted.

  3. Hover over your Staff Directory Widget and select the Widget Options button:The Staff Directory's Widget Options button is highlighted.

  4. Configure the Options tab, as needed:The Options tab of the Staff Directory Widget Options is highlighted with various toggles and fields displayed.

    • Skin: Select appearance style

    • Header Text: Create header text

    • Option Set: Select an option set

    • Number of Columns: Display content in columns

    • Header Link: Choose to have the header link to the Staff Directory home screen or a custom link

  5. Navigate to the Departments & Staff tab:The Departments & Staff tab of the Staff Directory widget is highlighted.

  6. Make any changes to existing selections or click the X icon next to department/staff to remove it from the widget:The Departments & Staff tab with a Department's feature toggles and the Remove button highlighted.

  7. If needed, search for and select additional departments or staff:The Search bar with a staff member located and the Add button highlighted.

  8. Select which features to display for the entry:The features checkboxes for a staff member are highlighted.

  9. Drag and drop entries into your desired order:The items added to the Staff Directory widget being drag-and-dropped into a new order.

  10. Click the Close (X) icon to save and close:The Staff Directory Widget Options window with the Close (X) button highlighted.

  11. View the updated widget:The Staff Directory widget with the items rearranged is highlighted.

  12. Click Save:The Save button in the top right corner of the page.


Display Content as Columns in the Staff Directory Widget

Within the Staff Directory widget, you can display members in several side-by-side columns on your page, rather than all in one line. This allows for greater design flexibility and better space efficiency.

  1. Sign in to your site and navigate to the applicable page

  2. Ensure that Live Edit Is On:The Live Edit status for a page is toggled to ON and highlighted.

  3. If needed, add a Staff Directory widget to your page

  4. Hover over your Staff Directory Widget and select the top Widget Options button:The Widget Options button of a Staff Directory widget is highlighted.

  5. Select a Number of Columns to display:The Staff Directory Widget Options window with the Number of Columns drop-down menu highlighted.

  6. Click Close (X) when finished to close the Widget options:The Staff Directory Widget Options window with the Close (X) button highlighted.

  7. View the Staff Directory widget columns:The Staff Directory widget displaying in a Column format.

    Note:

    Columns cannot be displayed if you choose a Department within the widget.

  8. Click Save:The Save button in the top right corner of the page.
