You can add categories to your Resource Directory to make it more organized and easy to navigate.
Important Note:
Unlike other modules, permissions for the Resource Directory are set for the entire module and cannot be set at the category level.
Add a Category
Who can use this feature?
System Administrator | Owner
Go to Modules and on the Content tab, select Resource Directory

Select the Categories tab

Select Add Category

Fill in the category fields

Category Name: Create a name for your category
Note: Insert either a single category name or a semicolon-separated list.
Show Archives: Allows you to choose whether this category shows in the archives or not
Select Save or Save and Publish at the top of the page

Save: Saves but does not make the category publicly viewable
Save and Publish: Allows you to save and publish to the live site
Modify a Category
Who can use this feature?
System Administrator | Owner | Publisher
Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select Resource Directory

Select the Categories tab

Select the Category you want to modify

Modify the Category Name and choose whether or not to Show Archives

Click Save in the top right

Delete a Category
Who can use this feature?
System Administrator | Owner | Publisher
Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select Resource Directory

Navigate to the Categories tab

Select Choose an Action and then Unpublish next to the category you wish to delete

Once unpublished, select Choose an Action and then Delete

Select OK on the popup, asking, Are you sure you want to delete this category?
