This article will show you how to add, modify, or delete polls.

Add a Poll

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner | Publisher

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select Opinion PollsModules menu, Opinion Polls.

  3. Select Choose an Action and then Add Item next to the applicable categoryActions menu, add item.

  4. Fill in the information fields Add item fields.

    • Start Date: Add the earliest date the poll can be used by the public

    • End Date: Set the date the poll will end

    • Question: Enter the question of the poll

    • Answers: Populate answers and select a color (Minimum of two answers, a maximum of five answers.)

    • Poll Status

      • Results: Choose to display the results

      • Show Archives: Choose to show archived results

  5. Scroll to the top and select a saving option Save and publish button.

    • Cancel: Will not save the item

    • Save: Will save the item but will not publish it to the live site

    • Save and Publish: Will save and publish the item

Modify a Poll

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner | Publisher

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select Opinion PollsModules menu, Opinion Polls.

  3. Select the category with the poll to be modifiedSelect Category.

  4. Select the applicable pollModify action.

  5. Adjust the following fields as desired (Mandatory fields are noted with a red asterisk) Modify fields.

    • Start Date: Enter a start date for the poll to auto-publish on another date; the default will publish on the day the poll is created

    • End Date: Enter the date you want the item to expire and auto-unpublish

    • Question: Enter a brief question

    • Answers: Enter brief answers

      • Minimum two answers (yes/no or true/false)

      • Maximum five answers

    • Color: Default is black; change color as desired to display results

    • Results: Choose from one of the following

      • Display: After voting, the end-user can view Poll results (Recommended)

      • Do Not Display: After voting, the live side displays “Thank you! Voting Results Not Displayed.”

    • Show Archives: Leave at default

  6. Click Save at the top of the page Save poll.

    • Cancel: Will delete what you’ve done

    • Save: Will save the work

Delete a Poll

Polls must be unpublished before they can be deleted.

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to Modules and on the Content tab, select Opinion PollsModules menu, Opinion Polls.

  3. Select the desired category Select Category.

  4. Select unpublished poll(s) to delete Select unpublished polls.

  5. Select Delete Marked at the bottom of the pageDelete marked.

  6. Select OK to Are you sure you want to delete the item(s)?Ok button on pop-up.
