Add & Manage the Calendar Widget on a Page

This article will show you how to add a Calendar Widget to your page and customize how it displays.

Important Note

The Calendar Widget will not display on your page if there are no upcoming Events in the Categories that you want to display in the Widget.

Add a Calendar Widget to a Page

  1. Log in to your site and navigate to your desired page

  2. Ensure that Live Edit Is On

  3. Select the Widgets tab The Widgets tab on the page management menu.

  4. Select Modules A navigation menu displaying various modules like Calendar, FAQs, and Staff Directory.

  5. Drag and drop the Calendar widget onto your page Drag and drop the calendar widget to the page.

  6. Fill in Widget options The Calendar Widget Options dialog window with options and toggles displayed.

    • Skin: Select a styling option for your widget

    • Header Text: Text that will appear above the Calendar

    • Option Set: If you want to change this widget to look like a different calendar on your site, change the option set.

      Note:

      Default is typically the only option available, depending on your website design.

    • Display: Set the number of items to display in your widget

      Note:

      If there are more items in your category than the number in this field, your residents will see a link to View All items.

    • Number of Columns: Indicate how many columns you would like in the widget

    • Category: Choose the appropriate category (or categories)

    • AdvancedWidget options for a calendar, including settings for breakpoint and push options.

      • Widget Breakpoint: Width at which the widget will switch from narrow to wide view

      • Push To All Versions of this Page: Add a copy of this widget to all versions of this page

      • Push To All Subpages of this Page: Add a copy of this widget to all subpages of this page

      • Push Options: Choose where to put the widget within pushed pages

  7. Select X at the top right corner of the Widget Options box to save your options Widget options for a calendar, including advanced settings and breakpoint configuration.

  8. Click Save The Save button in the top right corner of the page.


Edit the Display of a Calendar

Important Notes

  • We recommend that you do not change the Skin, Header Text, or Option Set options. These options are set based on the design you chose during the Implementation phase of your project. If you have any questions about these design features, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

  • You may create a new option set if you have Design Center Pro.

  1. Log in to your site and navigate to your page

  2. Ensure that Live Edit Is On

  3. Hover over your calendar and select the Widget options menu Three dot icon widget options menu.

  4. Edit the options The Calendar Widget Options dialog window with options and toggles displayed.

    • Skin, Header Text, Option Set: We recommend that you do not change these settings. However, if you want to change the widget to look like a different calendar on your site, change the option set.

      Note:

    • Display: How many calendars to display before a Show All option appears

    • Number of Columns: How many calendar columns to display
