Add & Manage the Staff Directory Widget on a Page

With the Staff Directory Widget, detailed contact information for staff and offices can be shared on any page(s) from the Staff Directory Module.

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner | Publisher | Author (can add to unpublished pages)    

Add the Staff Directory Widget to a Page

  1. Log in to your site and navigate to your desired page

  2. Ensure that Live Edit Is OnLive Edit Is On button in toolbar at the top of the page.

  3. On the Widgets tab select Modules Modules tab selected on Widgets page.

  4. Drag and drop the Staff Directory widget to your desired place on the page Staff directory widget being dropped onto Feature Column of page.

  5. Fill out Widget optionsstaff directory widget options pop-up.

    • Skin: Select appearance style

    • Header Text: Create header text

    • Option Set: Select an option set

    • Number of Columns: Display content in columns

    • Header Link: Choose to have the header link to the Staff Directory home screen or a custom link

    • Advancedadvanced widget options.

      • Widget Breakpoint: Width at which the widget will switch from narrow to wide view

      • Push To All Versions of this Page: Add a copy of this widget to all versions of this page

      • Push To All Subpages of this Page: Add a copy of this widget to all subpages of this page

      • Push Options: Choose where to put the widget within pushed pages

  6. Navigate to Departments & StaffDepartments and staff tab.

  7. Search for Departments or Staff Names to display search bar for departments and staff members.

  8. Click the + button to add the item plus sign button.

  9. Select which features to display for the entry checkboxes next to features.

    Note: Options will differ depending on the entry selected.

    • Link to staff in Staff Directory: Displays a link to the wider Staff Directory

  10. Repeat steps 7 to 9 to add more employees

    Note: Departments and staff can be reordered by clicking the Staff member or Department name and dragging the item up and down the list.

  11. Click X when finished x to close and save options.

  12. View the Contact Information Contact information example.

  13. Select Save Save button in top right corner of page.

Modify the Staff Directory Widget

  1. Log in to your site and navigate to your desired page

  2. Ensure that Live Edit Is OnLive Edit On.

  3. Hover over your Staff Directory Widget and select the Widget Options button Staff Directory Widget Options.

  4. Configure the Options tab, as needed Staff Directory Widget Options Fields.

    • Skin: Select appearance style

    • Header Text: Create header text

    • Option Set: Select an option set

    • Number of Columns: Display content in columns

    • Header Link: Choose to have the header link to the Staff Directory home screen or a custom link

  5. Navigate to Departments & StaffDepartments and Staff tab.

  6. Make any changes to existing selections or click the X icon next to department/staff to remove it from the widget Edit or Remove staff directory entry.

  7. If needed, search for and select additional departments or staff Add Staff.

  8. Select which features to display for the entry Staff display options.

  9. Drag and drop entries into your desired order Reorder entries in widget.

  10. Click the X icon in the top right corner of the widget to save and close X icon to close widget.

  11. View the updated widget Updated Staff Directory Widget.

  12. Click Save at the top of the page Save button.

Display Content as Columns in the Staff Directory Widget

Within the Staff Directory widget, you can display members in several side-by-side columns on your page, rather than all in one line. This allows for greater design flexibility and better space efficiency.  

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site and navigate to the applicable page

  2. Ensure that Live Edit Is On Live Edit Is On button in toolbar at the top of the page.

  3. If needed, add a Staff Directory widget to your page

  4. Hover over your Staff Directory Widget and select the top Widget Options button Three line widget options icon.

  5. Select a Number of Columns to display Number of columns drop-down.

  6. Click X when finished to close the Widget options x to close widget options.

  7. View the Staff Directory widget columns Staff directory widget example.

    Note: Columns cannot be displayed if you choose a Department within the widget.

  8. Click Save Save button at the top of the page.
