Permissions can be assigned at the module or folder level. Assigning permissions at the module level applies those permissions to every folder created after the permissions were changed.
Important Notes:
Do not give permissions here unless you want to give a group access to the entire module. If a group does not need access to the whole module, you can set category permissions.
Do not click Save and Push Down unless you want to remove all existing permission groups except for the one you are selecting.

Select a Content Module

Note:
For this walkthrough, we are using the Document Center module.
Click the Permissions tab

Set the appropriate Permissions for this module

Note:
View the Permissions User Guide for an overview of permissions.
Viewer: Can view the module on the front-end
Author: Can write content in the module
Publisher: Can write and publish content in the module
Owner: Can write and publish content in the module, and modify items in the module
Select the Save button

Note:
Only select Save and Push Down if you want these permissions to apply to all subfolders. Save and Push Down will not appear if you do not have subfolders.
