Broadcast a Live Video

This article will show you how to broadcast a Live Video.

CivicMedia is a legacy feature. All sales after September 30, 2025, will have our new CivicPlus Video feature. If you currently use CivicMedia and are interested in upgrading to CivicPlus Video, please contact your Account Manager for more information.

Instructions

1. Sign in to your website solution

2. Navigate to the CivicMedia™ module:
   

3. Select Broadcast Now!:

4. If needed, download the HD Wave Broadcaster for either Windows or Mac:

   Note:

   Step 3 on this pop-up screen contains your Username and Password to enter the HD Wave Broadcaster. Take note of these credentials.

5. Follow the HD Wave Broadcaster prompts to download and open the application

6. Enter your Username and Password:

7. Click Log Me In:

8. Use the Channel dropdown menu to select the channel to broadcast on:

9. Check Send Video and Send Audio to broadcast video and/or audio:

   Note:

   Do not check the boxes if you do not want to broadcast one or both of these.

10. Check Save to File and determine a location to save the broadcast file after broadcasting:

11. Click the Start Broadcast button:

    Note:

    Once the broadcast starts, you will see it live as the first video in the channel you selected.
