Configure Video Encoding Resolution

This article will show you how to configure your Video Encoding to determine the Resolution at which your CivicMedia videos will be encoded.

Important Notes:
CivicMedia is a legacy feature. All sales after September 30, 2025, will have our new CivicPlus Video feature. If you currently use CivicMedia and are interested in upgrading to CivicPlus Video, please contact your Account Manager for more information.

Instructions

Sign in to your site
Navigate to Modules > Content > CivicMedia
Select the Properties tab
Change the Video Encoding number

No encoding. Only FLV and MP4 files can be uploaded.
1
Encode at 480p.
2
Encode at 720p. Must be used for high-definition playback.
3
Encode at 1080p. Highest quality playback.
Click Save Changes
