Copy a Field Set

This article will show you how to copy a field set in the Form Center. You may want to use this feature if you have two field sets that are identical or two field sets that only have minor changes between them.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to Modules, then Content, and then Form Center:A navigation menu highlighting the Form Center option in the Municipal Websites Central interface.

  3. Select the Field Sets tab:The Form Center module with the Field Sets tab highlighted.

  4. Click Actions next to the field set you want to copy:

  6. Make any desired changes:A field set in the Form Center on the Copy Field Set screen with the Name field displayed. Additional fields to be edited in the process of copying a Field Set in the Form Center are displayed.

    • Name: Edit name

    • Field Types:

      • Short Answer: Will allow for a short answer

        • Note: Character limit of 999 characters.

      • Long Answer: Will allow for a long answer

        Note:

        There is a character limit of 9999 characters.

      • Dropdown: Will allow you to add drop-down options to choose from

        Note:

        There is no limit to the number of drop-down options you can create.

      • Checkboxes: Will allow you to add checkbox options to choose from

        Note:

        There is no limit to the number of checkboxes you can create.

      • Radio Buttons: Will allow you to add radio button options to choose from

        Note:

        There is no limit to the number of radio buttons you can create.

      • Section Break: Will add a section break to the form

      • Reply Email: Will allow a reply email to be entered

      • Page Break: Will add a page break to separate the form

      • Date/Time: Will allow a date/time on the form

      • File Upload: Will allow files to be uploaded

      • Image: Will allow an image to be added

      • Link: Will allow the addition of a link

      • Text: Will allow for a text section

    • Field Sets:

      • Address: Will allow for an address to be added

      • Complete Contact Information: Will allow for complete contact information to be added for an individual

      • First and Last Name: Will allow for a first and last name field to be added

      • Phone and Fax Numbers and Email Address: Will allow for a phone number, a fax number, and an email address to be added

      Note:

      If you add a Field Type, you will need to add a Label and Save Changes:

  7. Select a saving option:The Form Center on the Copy Field Set screen with the Save and Save and Make Active buttons highlighted.

    • Save: Will save the changes without making them active in the Form Center

    • Save and Make Active: Will save them and make them active in the Form Center
