Image Editor Tools

The Image Editor tool resizes and crops images. It allows you to modify existing images if you do not have access to photo editing software.

Who can use this feature?

System Administrator | Owner  

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to the relevant page and ensure Live Edit is OnLive Edit State Toggled to ON.

  3. Add an Image Widget or click on an existing Image WidgetSelect image.

  4. Select the image folder or add a new folder and images Images Folder.

  5. Click Actions next to the image and select Edit and Copy Image Edit and Copy Image option in the actions menu.

  6. Make the desired edits to your image Image editor options.

    • Selection Box Info: Displays width and height in pixels

    • Resize: Manually adjust the width and height

      • Lock Aspect Ratio: Click the chain link to lock the aspect ratio, so the image always keeps its width and height proportions

    • Toolbar: The image editor toolbar.

      • Move: Move the image around

      • Crop: Crop the image sides

      • Magnifying Glass: Zoom in or out

      • Arrows: Move the image up down, left or right more precisely than just the Move tool

      • Undo/Redo: Undo or redo an action

      • Flip: Choose to flip the image horizontally or vertically

      • Reset: Select to reset the image to its default format/appearance

      • Ratio: Use the middle row to select an aspect ratio

      • Name: Use the last row (text box) to give a name to the picture

  7. Click Crop and Resize Selection when done Resize crop and resize selection button.

    • Overwrite if file exists?: Click to overwrite existing files

  8. Select SaveSave image button.
