Turn Off Messaging for Front-End Users

This article will show you how to turn off the Messaging setting for front-end users. This setting should only affect front-end users. Back-end user messaging is separate.

System Administrator | Owner

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your website solution

  2. Navigate to the Modules menu and on the Content tab, select the My Account module: The My Account module in a list of module options.

  3. Select the Properties tab: My Account module's properties tab.

  4. Locate and uncheck the Allow Messaging checkbox: Unchecking the Allow Messaging option disables messaging between users.

    Note:

    This setting controls if messaging between users is enabled.

  5. Click the Save button: The Save button saves all changes made to the module's properties.
