Edit My Account's Profile Settings

This article will show you how users can edit their Profile Settings.

Important Note:

This allows staff and residents to edit the profiles that they create and does not pertain to website editors.

System Administrator | Owner | Publisher | Author

Edit Your Profile Settings

  1. Sign in to your website solution

  2. Click the My Account button: Users can navigate to their Profile Settings by using their website's My Account button.

    Note:

    The My Account button may look different based on your website's design and layout.

  3. Click the Settings link: The Settings link can be used to update your profile's settings.

  4. Edit your setting fields: The informational and setting fields for your profile.

    • First Name (Required): Your first name

    • Last Name (Required): Your last name

    • Email (Required): The email address you want to associate with your account

    • Display Name: Choose what to publicly display as your username

    • Make My Profile Private: When enabled/checked, your profile is hidden from the public

      Note:

      Public profiles can participate in Community Voice and contribute to public forums. If your profile is marked as private, you can not participate in public forums.

    • About Me: A brief description of who you are (500 character limit)

    • Photo: A profile picture for your account

    • Shipping Address: Your mailing address

  5. Click the Save button: The Save button will save any changes you've made to your profile.

Profile Pictures

Add a Profile Picture

  1. Sign in to your website solution

  2. Click the My Account button: Users can navigate to their Profile Settings by using their website's My Account button.

    Note:

    The My Account button may look different based on your website's design and layout.

  3. Click the Settings link: The Settings link can be used to update your profile's settings.

  4. Click the Choose Your Own button: Located below the Photo heading, the Choose Your Own button lets the user decide to use their own image or stay with the default image set by the website.

  5. Click the Choose File button: The Choose File button lets you pick an image from your computer to use as your Profile Picture.

  6. Locate the image on your computer: A system file explorer window opens to let you find your image.

  7. Click the Open button: The file explorer's Open button sets your choice.

  8. Verify the correct image is selected by reviewing the file name: By verifying the image file's name, you can make sure you didn't add the wrong photo.

  9. Click the Save button: The Save button will save any changes you've made to your profile.

Replace a Profile Picture

  1. Sign in to your website solution

  2. Click the My Account button: Users can navigate to their Profile Settings by using their website's My Account button.

    Note:

    The My Account button may look different based on your website's design and layout.

  3. Click the Settings link: The Settings link can be used to update your profile's settings.

  4. Click the Choose File button: The Choose File button can be used to change your profile picture.

  5. Locate the new image on your computer: The system's file explorer opens to let you select a new image.

  6. Click the Open button: The file explorer's Open button uploads the image to your profile.

  7. Verify the new picture's file name: Make sure your new picture's file name matches the image you selected.

  8. Click the Save button: The Save button will save any changes you've made to your profile.

Remove a Profile Picture

  1. Sign in to your website solution

  2. Click the My Account button: Users can navigate to their Profile Settings by using their website's My Account button.

    Note:

    The My Account button may look different based on your website's design and layout.

  3. Click the Settings link: The Settings link can be used to update your profile's settings.

  4. Click the Don't Display a Profile Photo button: Use the Don't Display a Profile Picture when you no longer want to display a Profile Picture.

  5. Click the Save button: The Save button will save any changes you've made to your profile.

Shipping Addresses

Add a Shipping Address

  1. Sign in to your website solution

  2. Click the My Account button: Users can navigate to their Profile Settings by using their website's My Account button.

    Note:

    The My Account button may look different based on your website's design and layout.

  3. Click the Settings link: The Settings link can be used to update your profile's settings.

  4. Click the Add Address button: If you want to add a Shipping address, use the 'Add Address' button.

  5. Edit the information fields: An example of the address entry fields.

      • Make this your default address: If there are multiple addresses on your profile, this checkbox makes the address your primary address

      • Name (Required): Your first and last name

      • Address (Required):

        • Street: The first street name and building number for your primary address, such as 23 Main Street

        • City: The name of the city or town the address belongs to

        • State: The abbreviation of the state you live in

        • Zip: The postal code for the address listed

      • Contact Phone (Required): A phone number that is associated with the address

  6. Click the Save Address button: The Save Address button saves the address to your profile.

  7. Click the Save button: The Save button will save any changes you've made to your profile.

Edit a Shipping Address

  1. Sign in to your website solution

  2. Click the My Account button: Users can navigate to their Profile Settings by using their website's My Account button.

    Note:

    The My Account button may look different based on your website's design and layout.

  3. Click the Settings link: The Settings link can be used to update your profile's settings.

  4. Click the Edit button: The Edit button allows you to make updates to your Shipping Address.

  5. Update the information fields, as needed: The address's informational fields.

      • Make this your default address: If there are multiple addresses on your profile, this checkbox makes the address your primary address

      • Name (Required): Your first and last name

      • Address (Required):

        • Street: The first street name and building number for your primary address, such as 23 Main Street

        • City: The name of the city or town the address belongs to

        • State: The abbreviation of the state you live in

        • Zip: The postal code for the address listed

      • Contact Phone(Required): A phone number that is associated with the address

  6. Click the Save Address button: The Save Address button saves any changes made to the Shipping Address.

  7. Click the Save button: The Save button will save any changes you've made to your profile.

Delete a Shipping Address

  1. Sign in to your website solution

  2. Click the My Account button: Users can navigate to their Profile Settings by using their website's My Account button.

    Note:

    The My Account button may look different based on your website's design and layout.

  3. Click the Settings link: The Settings link can be used to update your profile's settings.

  4. Click the Delete button: Located below an address, the Delete button lets the user remove an address from their Shipping Addresses.

  5. On the pop-up message, click the OK button to confirm deletion of the address: A confirmation pop-up example.

  6. Click the Save button: The Save button will save any changes you've made to your profile.
