Create and Manage Digest Emails

Important Note

To utilize Digest Emails a Subscription List must exist. You may create a Subscription List in CivicPlus Notifications.

A Digest Email may be created to send News updates or notify users of Stale Content at a frequency you determine. This can assist with dispensing important information or keeping content up to date.

Create a Digest Email

  1. Click the Administration box
    Administration button.

  2. Click Manage Digest Emails in the Notifications section
    Manage Digest Emails URL.

  3. Click + News or + Stale Content
    News and Stale Content buttons.

  4. Enter a Name
    Name input field.

  5. Select a Subscription List
    Subscription List drop down menu.

  6. Set a Frequency

  7. Set the News or Microsite Filters

  8. Click Save
    Save button.

Preview a Digest Email

  1. Click the Administration Box
    Administration button.

  2. Click Manage Digest Emails
    Manage Digest Emails URL.

  3. Click Preview
    Preview button.

Edit a Digest Email

Important Note

You cannot edit a Subscription List within Web Open. You must manage and edit Subscription Lists in CivicPlus Notifications.

  1. Click the Administration Box
    Administration button.

  2. Click Manage Digest Emails
    Manage Digest Emails URL.

  3. Expand the action menu
    Action Menu in the Operations column.

  4. Click Edit
    Edit option in the Operations menu.

  5. Change the Name, Subscription List, Frequency, or Filters

  6. Click Save
    Save button.

Enable or Disable a Digest Email

  1. Click the Administration Box
    Administration button.

  2. Click Manage Digest Emails
    Manage Digest Emails URL.

  3. Expand the action menu
    Action Menu in the Operations column.

  4. Click Edit
    Edit option in the Operations menu.

  5. Click the Enabled toggle
    Enabled check box.

    Note:

    A checked box is enabled; an empty box is disabled.

  6. Click Save
    Save button.

Delete a Digest Email

Important Note

  • We recommend that you disable a Digest Email

  • Deleting a Digest Email is permanent and cannot be undone

  1. Click the Administration Box
    Administration button.

  2. Click Manage Digest Emails
    Manage Digest Emails URL.

  3. Expand the action menu
    Action Menu in the Operations column.

  4. Click Delete
    Delete button in the Operations menu.

  5. Click Delete in the confirmation pop-up

Frequency

Digest Email Frequency settings.

  • Occurrence: How often the Digest is sent

    • Weekly

      • Day of the Week: The day the Digest is sent

    • Monthly

      • Monthly Send Date: The date the Digest is sent

  • Next Send Date: The date on which the next Digest is sent

News or Microsite Filters

Digest Email News Filters settings.

  • Microsite: Select a specific Microsite to create a Digest for specific content, or All to create a Digest of all content.

  • News or Content Type: Select a News Type for News Digests or a Content Type for Stale Content Digests

    • News Type: Select a specific News Type to create a Digest for specific News content, or All to create a Digest of all News content

    • Content Type: Select a specific Content Type to create a Stale Content Digest for specific content, or All to create a Stale Content Digest for all content.
