Create and Manage Emergency Alerts

Important Note

A maximum of 1 (one) Emergency Alert may be created and displayed at a time.

Create an Emergency Alert

  1. Expand the Administration options
    The Administration button with a plus sign icon.

  2. Click Manage Emergency Alerts The hyperlink labeled Manage Emergency Alerts

  3. Title the alert The text entry field labeled Alert Title.

  4. Enter the Alert Summary The text entry field labeled Alert Summary.

  5. Select where the alert will display The drop-down menu labeled Alert Display.

  6. Set the Status to On The drop-down menu labeled Status.

  7. Complete the remaining Emergency Alert fields as necessary

  8. Click Save Configuration

Edit an Emergency Alert

  1. Expand the Administration options
    The Administration button with a plus sign icon.

  2. Click Manage Emergency Alerts The hyperlink labeled Manage Emergency Alerts.

  3. Edit the Emergency Alert fields as necessary

  4. Click Save Configuration

Turn Off an Emergency Alert

  1. Expand the Administration options
    The Administration button with a plus sign icon.

  2. Click Manage Emergency Alerts The hyperlink labeled Manage Emergency Alerts.

  3. Set the Status to Off The drop-down menu labeled Status.

  4. Click Save Configuration

Emergency Alert Fields

The Emergency Alert text entry and drop-down fields.

  • Alert Title: The title of the alert

  • Alert Summary: A summary of the alert

  • Read More Link: Link to a page including more detailed information regarding the alert, such as a News page

  • Read More Text: The text of the "read more" button

  • Dismiss Text: The text of the dismiss button

  • Display: Which pages the Alert will display on

    • Homepage: The alert will only appear on the homepage

    • All Pages: The alert will appear on all pages

  • Status

    • On: The alert will display

    • Off: The alert will not display
