Create and Manage Frequently Asked Questions

Create an FAQ

  1. Expand Create Other The button labeled Create Other with a plus sign icon.

  2. Click Create FAQ Theb button labeled Create FAQ.

  3. Complete the Question and Answer fields

  4. Select the Categories and Terms tab The left-hand navigation tab labeled Categories and Terms.

  5. Enter the category the question is associated with The text entry field labeled Category.

  6. Select the Related Content tab and complete the Related Content fields, if desired The left-hand navigation tab labeled Related Content.

  7. Select the Weight tab The left-hand navigation tab labeled Weight.

  8. Enter an FAQ weight The text entry field labeled FAQ Weight.

    Note:

    FAQs will display in Alphabetical order by default, but weights may override this setting for a specific item. Lower weights will rise to the top, and higher weights will sink to the bottom.

  9. Publish the FAQ

  10. Click Save
    The Save button.

Edit an FAQ

  1. Navigate to the FAQ page

  2. Click Edit

  3. Make the necessary edits

  4. Select the Advanced tab The left-hand navigation tab labeled Advanced.

  5. Detail any edits made in the Revision log The text entry field labeled Revision log message.

  6. Publish the FAQ

  7. Click Save
    The Save button.

Copy an FAQ

  1. Navigate to the FAQ page

  2. Expand the FAQ you want to clone The plus sign to the right of the question.

  3. Click edit

  4. Click Clone
    The button labeled Clone.

  5. Make any edits as necessary

  6. Publish the page, if desired

  7. Click SaveThe button labeled Save in the bottom left corner.

View FAQ Revisions

  1. Navigate to the page

  2. Expand the FAQ for which you want to view revisions The plus sign to the right of the question.

  3. Click editThe edit button below the answer to the question.

  4. Click RevisionsThe button labeled Revisions to the right of Edit and left of Clone.

  5. View the list of previous revisions

Revert an FAQ Page to a Previous Version

  1. View FAQ Revisions

  2. Select Revert to revert the Event page to a previous version The button labeled Revert to the right of the page details.

  3. Select Revert to confirm the revision The larger button labeled Revert.

Publish or Unpublish an FAQ

  1. Navigate to the page

  2. Expand the FAQ you want to publish or unpublish The plus sign to the right of the question.

  3. Click edit

  4. Select the Publishing tab The left-hand navigation tab labeled Publishing.

  5. Complete the Publishing options The published checkbox, Publish on, and Unpublish on fields.

    • Published: Check or uncheck the box to publish or unpublish, respectively

    • Publish On: Manually select or type a date and time to publish the event at a later date The calendar menu in the Publish on field.

    • Unpublish On: Manually select or type a date and time to automatically unpublish the event

  6. Click Save
    The Save button.

Delete an FAQ

Important Note

Only Site Admins can perform this function. This action cannot be undone.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the page

  2. Click Delete

  3. Click Delete to confirm deletion

    Note:

    This action cannot be undone

Question and Answer Fields

The Question and Answer text entry fields, and the Microsite dropdown.

  • Question: Type the frequently asked question

  • Microsite: Select the appropriate microsite for the question

  • Answer: Type the answer/response to the question

  • Summary: Enter a summary of the question or topic The text entry field labeled Summary

    Note:

    This field is only visible after clicking Edit Summary
    The URL labeled Edit summary, in parentheses to the right of the Answer text.

Related Content Fields

The URL and Link text text entry fields.

  • URL: Enter the URL of the content to link to

  • Link Text: Enter the display text to mask the link
